As a member of the Vusanani Youth Development Council, a community activist and an entrepreneur, I have always looked out for opportunities that could boost my skills level and create jobs for the unemployed youth in and around my community.
Thanks to the City of Tshwane’s Tshepo 10,000 programme which included a Road Skills Training Programme I have been able to grow my construction business.
SAFETI who provided us with the road skills training in Mamolodi also provided me with mentorship and included me in a road improvement project in Murraysburg which has improved my leadership skills and given me the confidence to continue pursuing my goal of becoming a successful contractor.
We now have successfully completed several projects and my company has been recognised by SASOL as part of their Social Economic Development Programme
